Quick (Exeter, UK) Homepage

Hi, and welcome to Andy Quick's homepage; nothing elaborate you understand, but a way of getting information on some of the following!
In 1961 I moved from Yorkshire to Devon where I have lived most of my life. However I went to Repton School in Derbyshire through the arch.
![]() | I come from a criminal background. You see, one of my ancestors was hanged for treason a few hundred years ago. He was called Robert Aske of the Aske family, and in AD 1536 led the Pilgrimage of Grace against the King under this banner. He is still (in)famous in the City of York UK where you can visit Clifford's Tower at the Castle and see where it all happened. My wife Ruth comes from Cornwall, and with a maiden name like TREGUNNA it is difficult for her to deny. Since the 1900s the family were in the Roche part of mid Cornwall UK, but some of the family moved to New York in April 1907. I would love their families to make contact by email by clicking Click here to see a list of the names in the the Ask(e) family tree, or here for a pedigree tree family. To browse the tree click here. |
In fact our families have lots of strange surnames. From Yorkshire come the names AMBLER, PARROTT, and Mary ASTIN who was around in 1809. In Devon UK was the DAGGER family.
